Ongoing erosion and a steep slope were preventing these homeowners from using their backyard. Country Brook Landscape designed and installed a large stone retaining wall to stabilize the grade and stop soil loss, creating a strong foundation for the space to recover. With the slope secured, we enhanced the patio area with river rock and shade-tolerant perennials, then repurposed leftover retaining wall block to build a custom fire pit that anchors the yard as a gathering space. The yard was finished with grass seed, allowing turf to establish for the first time. By resolving the underlying erosion issues, the backyard was transformed into a functional, comfortable space the homeowners can now enjoy year-round.
